Goodison Park - Home of Everton FC

To all Everton fans

It is cold and rainy. Was there to pick up the match tickets for same night (booked online days ago).

When the night falls it is even colder, I guess if you're a fan you won't mind your face numb and lips crack. Everton vs Sunderland. Sunderland? Who's Sunderland?

What an old stadium but clean. No smoking allow anywhere in the stadium... (hmm, hence I did something naughty)

A freezing 2-hours later, all I want is to hide under my duvet so a 2-0 doesn't really excite me.

The history of Goodison Park which I saw in the Everton shop.

The usual parade before the match starts.

Not even a popular match and the stadium is packed!!!

One of the mates bought scratch cards for everyone and this is mine. Don't have a clue at first till I study the card in detail. Gosh, every possibilty to gamble.

Big ferris wheel in Liverpool 1

Did I mention this ferris wheel is part of Liverpool One too? I don't think it is a permanent feature. No, didn't go for a ride and didn't want to. It is freezing cold and I do not trust it is heat up in cabin.

Liverpool One

3rd time in Liverpool but this is the 1st time I found out there is such a massive shopping area! Why no one ever tell me? So this is where the scousers get proper clothes and coffee. It has all the shops I like - a paradise street indeed.

Delighted... my hotel is just opposite. Dreaming away... shopping... drop the bags at hotel... rest while sipping coffee... more shopping... drop the bags again... fanciful dinner... pimm...

Flight to Manchester enroute Dubai

This is my seat on Emirates flight from Singapore to Dubai. The seat is tiny compare to SQ but the screen is huge and has a touchscreen feature!

Flight should take approximately 7 hours, then 3 hours stopover in the airport, follow by another 7 hours to Manchester.

Took this picture when I'm in Dubai airport lounge. It is a power plug tower which works for all kinds of adaptor. Cool.

Philips Digital Frame

This costs $399. One of the latest product in the market. Not a touchscreen but a touch panel. The command buttons are on the right black panel. It can shuffle, play music, pictures and videos, and supports all sorts of card though it also come with 1GB built-in memory. It will be given away as a 70th birthday present! Took me hours to load it with 334 pictures. Relief now.

Strange tree

Saw this strange tree on Friday when I attend the BBQ. It branches out evenly on a short trunk.

BBQing

Not me cooking of coz. Doesn't it looks delicious???

A filial gift

Mr D bought me this for Christmas. It's so GIRLY! (I think his gal pick it.)
I just got it shorten today and gonna start wearing it. Still touch. Thank you D!

Circle of Life

Bought from Fossil Collections for $179. Hope the family of 3 - a loving couple and a princess daughter, like this house warming gift. It has a meaningful name - Circle of Life.

25 white roses, 1 beheaded

Yey! I received flowers today. 1 stalk was almost beheaded when the bouquet reached, hanging out by the side. I wonder did the sender order 24 stalks and the florist throw in 1 damage for free, or the sender bought 25 stalks and the florist broke 1 accidentally. But why 25? Why not 2 dozens? Strange.

The last time I received flowers from the same person was on 17 Jan 2009!!! Yes, more than 1 year ago (but on special occasions I still get it). I am not one person who expect flowers all the time but the sender use to send once every other month.

Lessons learnt :

1. Check flowers before letting the delivery girl go.

2. Expecting flowers base on past trend is totally wrong analysis.

3. Flowers doesn't appear under one roof but only when 100metres away. (Don't be puzzled by this, I am too!)

Green Day - Live in Singapore

14 January 2010 (Thursday) is Green Day!

This is the first time Green Day performs in Singapore and it is held in the Indoor Stadium. Honestly, I went with doubts as I can't remember many numbers by them.

1st check - Ok, part of the crowd looks my age.
2nd check - Wow, it seems 95% of the tickets are sold.
3rd check - Contented I'm in the seating section, NOT standing.

And the rest are all wows / impressive from the start till the end. One of the BEST concert I have ever been! Simply awesome!

Checklist - Buy Best of Green Day album soon.

Humongous White Rat ???

Oops! Is this a rat or a white kangaroo? Can't remember now.

Chinese Cirque du Soleil ???

Which is better? To be frank I can't answer. Both are equally impressive. You won't get a boring moment, every act gasps.

PS: Only complain is I was soaked from the rain.

Mr D swinging in the air!

I reckon he has fear but deny it.

Chimelong Safari Tram Ride

The tram ride is so fun. We get to sit the whole ride and yet so near to the animals.

Tug-of-War

between Mr D and the long-necked. D won but prize is a bare stick!

The black-eyed bears

Oh mine! Pandas are so cute and cuddly. I want one!

White Tigers

White tigers were kept as pet in the hotel I stayed.

We and the fireworks!

The fireworks are SO near and lasted SO long! Stunning...

Stunt Show in Chimelong Paradise

I think the Universal Studio in Singapore is going to have a show like this.

Loads of water and bike stunts, end with sparklers and bombs.

Nah, the mascot for a new Hogs Breath Cafe. Yeah, quite blur as I only dare to take from a distance. Heehee

Just realised this nail colour matches the blog skin. Wee

Pink playground with no swing... ... (YET!)

This is how it looks before anything is up.

This is my second blog (first is hidden) and I'm learning to blog here with my blackberry. (Yeah, officially join the crackberry team.)
