Blood Brothers - The Musical
Brief details
Written by Willy Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences. The incredible score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally-charged hit Tell Me It's Not True.
London. West End. Phoenix Theatre.
I am speechless. Why didn’t I watch this sooner? This is one of the best musical I have ever watched. Before, I have heard its existence and nothing more.
Oh, how it touches my heart and moves my tears. It is not just the storyline but the depression shown as well. If I was alone, I could have cried my heart out. I can still feel it churning. *sobbing*
When the show ends, the crowd disperses in a slow and orderly manner (no rush, unlike Singapore). I try to hide my tears, grab the arm and walk towards the tube while the cold wind continues to invade my body. The busker is playing Moon River while I walk past.
Imagine…
*Surrounded by old London achitecture*
*Melody of Moon River playing in background*
*Both hands holding strong arm*
*Gathering body warm*
*Strolling in cold dark night*
*Emotionally-charged*
Really romantic.
I did secretly wish the clock ticks slower.
