Belated Valentine's Day Dinner

Venue: Boxwood Cafe
Where: The Berkeley, Wilton Place, Knightsbridge, London
Who: 1 of Gordon Ramsay’s
Why: Belated Valentine’s Day dinner

I am LOVED. This was booked in advance and I didn’t know this is where I’m dining until I got here. 3rd surprise for this lovey occasion.

As soon as we arrive (1830hrs), we are informed there is a 2nd booking for our table but we’re always welcome to have our after-dinner coffee at the bar. Well, not surprised. It is one of GR’s so it must be packed all the time. He is a popular chef after all.

Since this is Gordon Ramsay’s, I am going to venture. I am going to order what I don’t usually fancy.

Main course

Grilled loin of yellow fin tuna with creamed parsnips and black pepper sauce 19.00

I don’t usually take tuna but this tastes exquisite. When it arrives I just dug into it hence the picture was taken while a piece of tuna is swimming in my mouth.

Dessert

Pineapple carpaccio with pineapple sorbet 8.00

Absolutely one of the tastiest I have ever had!!! The pineapple sorbet is unforgettable and the pineapple carpaccio is remarkably thin. It is lightly sweetened and the sweetness lingered in my mouth. I can give pineapple kisses after this.

Splendid ambience, excellent service, great food.

What next?
